As a figure drawing class, participation and attendance is crucial to your development. This is reflected in my grading structure. Participation is worth 45% of your grade. You must show up on time, and have the appropriate materials, participate in the drawing and critique and stay for the entire class. If you miss a class you will lose the 10 pts associated with that day. And the portion of the points associated with the homework due that day. Vacations and transportation issues do not qualify as excuses for long-term absences. Registering for a class is a commitment for the class time. No Cell Phones, Texting, or Headphones The class model is a professional; treat him or her with respect.
Participation in Drawing, Discussion and Slide Show
- Unexcused tardy: -5 points
- Leaving early: -5 points
- Not participating in class work: -5 points
- Unexcused absence: -10 points

- Be to class on time
- Stay and work for entire class
- No cell phones, texting or headphones
- Bring home in for critiques
- 6 or more unexcused absences will result in an automatic failing grade
